Bioenerg provides advanced technology for efficient generation of energy from organic matter. The process is known anaerobic digestion (AD) and produces biogas – a mix of methane (65-80%) with carbon dioxide (15-25%) and traces of other gases (hydrogen sulphide, etc). The biogas can be easily upgraded to natural gas standards and then sold as such or used to produce electricity and/or heat.
The input matter can be any sort of biomass, such as the organic portion of the Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), livestock manure, slaughter waste, black water sludge, etc. Energy produced as such is considered a renewable and sustainable resource („green”) as all living things continuously produce organic waste. As no combustion takes place in the AD process, there is zero emission of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere; therefore, using gas from biowaste as a form of energy is a great way to fight combat global warming.
